How to Shampoo Your Hair to Get an Absolutely Bouncy Hair-look?

How often should you shampoo your hair without damaging them? Millions of people are apprehensive about the sulphates of shampoo ruining their hair if they wash their hair more frequently. On the other hand, if they are not washed properly on regular intervals, dirt and grime tend to accumulate on your scalp making them dull and weak. If the oil production on the scalp is high you need to shampoo them more often. If not, then you should use shampoo only twice a week. Let us have a quick look at how to shampoo hair to get wonderful soft, silky and bouncy hair you always wanted.

Step One:

As a first step, choose a shampoo as per your hair-type. Choose a wide-tooth comb that can loosen dirt and dead-skin cells. Alternately, you can massage your scalp for some time so that your hair does not get tangled. Wet hair can be easily broken and if you try to de-tangle them.

Step Two:

Wet your hair thoroughly with warm water and you should never use very hot water.

Step Three:

Put a dollop of shampoo on the center of your palm and divide it into two. Take the other half on the other palm and massage as thoroughly as possible, by making use of stroking action. Once you have done that evenly, rinse your hair with generous quantities of lukewarm water.

Step Four:

Always remember that it is not sufficient to rinse your hair only once. It takes plenty of water to rinse your hair properly. So, once you have applied it, make sure that you rinse your hair thoroughly because any residue left can make your hair brittle.

Step Five:
Now, use a soft towel and dab your hair in order to remove surplus water. Do not rub your hair harshly.

Step Six:
Now take a dollop of conditioner on the palm of your hands and distribute it uniformly all over your hair surface. Always remember that to leave the conditioner on the hair surface for an extended period of time. Conditioner begins to work as soon as it comes in contact with the hair cuticle.

Step Seven:

Now rinse off the conditioner thoroughly. Now, you should dab your hair with towel. This will remove surplus moisture from them. Wet hair is fragile, so do not try to rub them harshly.

Important to Note:

A good quality shampoo is very useful to add volume to hair. Your shampoo should have an acid balance of pH 4.5-pH5.5.
